About Us and Our Dogs
Welcome to Beni Pomskies! We chose the name “Beni Pomskies” because we are a family breeder and Beni is short for our last name, Benitez.
When you add a Beni Pomsky puppy to your family you don't only add a pet, you add a family member and you become part of our Beni Pomsky extended k9 family. We welcome you to contact us for the life of your companion with questions, concerns, updates, and visits. You will never be a bother to us and we are happy for you to contact us as often as you need or like. You can never ask too many questions or send us too many pictures of your growing Beni Pomsky baby .
My name is Dawn. I'm a single, stay at home mom of 2 amazing daughters whom I home school, Ammanah and Amariah. Both of my daughters are involved full time with all aspects of the lives and activities of our dogs and puppies. You wont see much of Ammanah in any of our pictures because she is our extremely talented photographer. With each new litter she spends endless hours each day practicing and perfecting her photography skills and getting to know each puppies personality as she tries to get them to pose and look at her camera. Amariah turns each and every puppy into her all-time favorite, bestest, most best friend ever, personal baby doll, dressing them up in doll clothes, pushing them in her stroller, and involving them in everything she does. I have always loved animals and as a child I wanted to be a zoo keeper or veterinarian when I grew up. I have been raising/training/breeding dogs, and studying animal nutrition for over 20 years. We live on a 7 acre farm with an assortment of animals including our 3 AKC Siberian Huskies. Our family absolutely loves breeding dogs, it is not merely a business or hobby for us, it is a lifestyle. We could not imagine doing anything else and there is nothing about breeding that we do not love. We continuously get to see puppies born and cuddle them for the most precious and formative early weeks of their lives. Although we are sad to part with our babies, we love meeting new amazing families who we know will be forever blessed by their new companion.
We do our best to provide the quality of pet we would want for our own family. “Blue” and “Sky" are our 2 Pomsky mama dogs, they are both AKC registered Siberian Huskies, cleared by our vet for breeding, and in perfect health. Blue and Sky are both in the process of getting their OFA certification. Sky has champion bloodlines on both sides and Blue is a long haired Husky. At present we use 2 sires. One is a hired AKC teacup Pomeranian stud with champion bloodlines, the other is a hired f1 AKC Pomsky. We consider our dogs to be part of our family, they have unlimited free run outside and access to indoors, fresh water, top quality food consisting of mostly raw liver and always free of corn/soy/wheat and pea protein, never kenneled or caged, never exposed to unhealthy/unclean conditions and always loved. We are not a puppy mill and we don't warehouse puppies. We take much pride in not being a puppy mill and take a strong stand against them, helping in putting them out of business and more than often providing foster for mill rescues. All of our puppies are born and raised inside of our smoke free home and travel with us all day long into which ever room we go into. Our home has a variety of surfaces to prepare our puppies for their new environments. Inside we have hardwood, linoleum, tile and carpet. Outside we have stone, gravel, concrete, grass and wood chips. We never use harsh chemicals in our home or on our land and never expose our dogs or puppies to any products that we don't trust on our own skin or in our own stomach. As much as possible we treat our land and pets naturally. Our puppies are handled by myself, my 14 year old daughter, my 4 year old daughter and the children i often babysit for, everyday from birth until they move to their new home. This ensures they will be well adjusted to children of all ages, and because of the variety of other pets we have they will also be well adjusted to all types of other animals. All of our puppies come with a free 2 yr health guarantee and an additional optional 5 yr health guarantee is available for an additional fee of $350.00 through an outside carrier. Our puppies are bathed and have their nails clipped regularly so they will not fuss for their new family when being groomed. We have dew claws removed when puppies are 2 days old. We begin worming at 10 days old and continue to deworm every 7 days until they leave. From day one we expose our puppies to a variety of sounds including the vacuum and television. Between 3-16 days of age e use a method called Bio Sensory Training also known as Super Dog Program which was developed by the military for service/therapy/search and rescue dogs. Bio Sensory Training (BST) is the technical term for what we call plain old puppy loving. BST research proves that early neurological stimulation exercises between days 3-16 of age shape a puppy socially for life. At birth we begin teaching simple commands, at 3 weeks old we begin potty training to grass and crate training, by 8 weeks old your puppy will be able to make it through the night in a crate without needing a potty break. At 3 weeks old we begin taking our puppies for car rides to get their stomach used to the car for the ride home to their new family. At 5 weeks old we begin weather conditioning so your baby will not put up a fuss to go outside during rain or snow. Each puppy will have a minimum of 1 vet check by 7 weeks, come with a certificate of health, will be free of fleas/ticks/ear mites, and be up to date on vaccinations unless requested otherwise in advance by the customer. Each of our puppies goes home with a puppy care package including items such as: toys, treat and food samples, blanket with mama dog's scent, lock of mama dog's hair, leash, collar, vitamin pack, natural wormer/flea/tick control supplement, and food/water dishes.
Diet- Our dogs and puppies are on raw meat diet with occasional kibble that is bean/vegetable protein/corn/soy/grain/pea protein free, which we recommend and require for our 2 year health guarantee. We also supplement with various types of raw and cooked animal proteins such as eggs, fish, various dairy items, and other appropriate sources. Our puppies are allowed to nurse on mom until they leave us or 10 weeks old, which ever comes second. We allow our puppies to decide when they want to begin eating from moms food bowl and offer them unlimited free feeding of the same food our adults eat. Pregnant moms, nursing moms, and puppies always have an unlimited supply of fresh organic grass fed milk.
Medications and Supplements- We treat our land and animals without the use of harmful and toxic chemicals. We use natural remedies whenever possible and no synthetic supplements. We use natural and chemical products for worms, fleas, ticks, and ear mites.

Vaccines- We only vaccinate upon request after you do independent research on the side effects and dangers of vaccines. We continue to research manufactures and always use those with the least side effects. Upon request we administer vaccines at 8 weeks old. Waiting until 8 weeks old to vaccinate allows the immune system to become stronger.
Veterinarian- We use Ephrata Wellness Center Animal Hospital, located in both Ephrata and Denver Pennsylvania for emergencies, check-ups, flight clearance, and medical care. If Ephrata Animal Hospital is unavailable we use Black Creek Animal Hospital, located in Gap Pennsylvania. Both are available for a reference upon request.
Nutritional Care- I have studied and practiced human and animal nutrition for more than 20 yrs. When needed I consult with several friends who have been breeding dogs for over 30 yrs and also a nutritionist. The nutritional care we have invested into our dogs for several generations shows through radiantly in appearance, health, and longer life span than average expectancy.
Boarding- We offer boarding to all of our canine families.
Training- My father trained dogs in the military and worked along side the k9 unit with the police force. We offer training classes, personal sessions, and training tips.
Nutritional Counseling- I am happy to help you and your animal companion with any and all health concerns. Vet bills can get expensive; I offer my advice and experience for free. Please do not ever feel like a burden. I am happy to stay connected and help you through out the life of your Beni Pomsky and any other pets in your home. I can often offer simple home remedies that are low cost or free. Most health problems in dogs begin with improper diet so proper diet is of utmost importance. You want your beloved companion to live as long as possible and free of and health problems. At all cost always always always avoid corn, grain, soy, and pea protein as they are poison to a dog and cause a long list of serious illnesses including cancer, allergies, premature aging, and early death. Grain free food can seem to be a bit higher in price but your companion will eat less, poop less, and not be back and forth to the vet with health issues so in the long run the slightly higher cost of food is actually cheaper.
We provide support before and after the placement of all of our puppies. We do our best to make the transition as easy for both the puppy and the family as possible.
